Yahoo! Unveils Video Sharing Site

Yahoo! is showing off a quick sneak peek of one of their next products to come, and surprise, surprise, it is a video hosting website. Much like YouTube, and following in the footsteps of AOL.

Yahoo! Video will include videos from around the web as well as from Yahoo! users.

The top navigation bar references "My Studio" which could be a way for anyone to author and upload their own video files or maybe add some special effects. The new site supports personal favorites, tagging, and ratings of each video. The existing Yahoo! Video site does not include any user-submitted content or metadata.

Another video hosting website. I have a feeling the market is going to be quickly saturated. I would not be surprised if Microsoft came out and said they were creating one too. The best thing Microsoft could do though would be to attach it to their Live Anyware idea, allowing Xbox 360 owners to stream user submitted videos right to their Xbox 360.
