Justin TV Spoofed

Justin TV has been live for a little under a week and 23-year-old Justin Kan, the Seattle-native in San Francisco who dons a hat-camera 24/7, is already notorious with wearable cam fanatics and the San Francisco police.

While fans suggest adventures for Kan via the show's Forum's Page, more radical viewers have spoofed the JustinTV caller ID and made prank 911 calls. Since a 2am police raid earlier this week, SFPD now require a confirmation call in order to dispatch emergency services to the Justin TV address.

This geek on geek violence is proof that not all nerds play nice. My suspect spoofer: University of Toronto professor Steven Mann. Academically heralded for his wearable computer and reality mediator, Mann has been strapping it on since the 80's and has received little mainstream recognition. My suggestion to Mann is to capitalize on this opportunity by challenging the Justin team to a live simulcast cage match.

I have to compliment this well written news piece. I first read the story about Justin TV here. Three days later I read about Justin in our National Paper and the writing was not comparable. Thanks for keeping me well updated and informed D. Oshiro!
