HP Ink Costs More Than Human Blood & Alcohol

A hilarious, but interesting little tidbit on Gizmodo recently is the fact that HP ink is almost two times more expensive than human blood.

He calculates that a $30 HP #45 black ink cartridge gives you 42ml, pricing out to $0.71/ml. Meanwhile, blood apparently costs $200 for 500ml from the Red Cross, pricing out to $0.40/ml.

We live in a strange world where things aren't even closed to being priced what they should be. I guess this is another reason why people get new printers, rather than getting new ink.
