Google Zeitgeist 2007

RollingStone.jpg

Google’s 2007 Zeitgeist is up with a display of the year’s most popular searches. I know I’m meant to be disgusted by the fact that Hannah Montana tripled the Rolling Stones for searches; however, is it really that surprising? Both the Rolling Stones and Rolling Stone magazine have played a huge role in the history of rock, but let’s face it, both are slightly old and busted. If Billy Ray Cyrus can recycle himself from an achy breaky Geri Curled heartthrob to a pre-teen father figure (on Hannah Montana), Mick Jagger can throw some wood glue and sawdust into those craters and get his ass on the One Campaign.

The results that I did find surprising were in the “Who, What, How” chart.
The top searches included, “Who is God?”, “What is Love?” and “How to Kiss”.
People, if you’re doubting life and feeling lonely, here’s a hint…get out of the freaking house. You aren’t as much of a loser as you think you are. Sure, there is the possibility that the person searching for God is actually hoping search results yield their name at the top, but you’d pretty much have to be giving away free porn or software for that to happen. Why not just give away free porn or software on the street and meet someone to love and practice kissing with?
