Google App Engine Launches: Scalability Out of the Box

Product Manager Paul McDonald just launched a preview release of Google's App Engine at tonight's Campfire One.

This is big. Basically developers will get 500 MB of storage and enough bandwidth and CPU for approximately 5 million monthly page views. Some of the apps launching with this new program include Huddle Chat, Vorby- a movie quote site and ToDone- a todo list application. Developers can view Google's App Gallery for more info. The Gallery is a place to get valuable user testing feedback, launch new ideas and work out kinks.
