Where's the fire?
Everybody's always asking me
Where is it, baby?
Doesn't anybody know?
That little lyric comes courtesy of a one-hit CanCon wonder named Tim Feehan, and a long-forgotten Charlie Sheen movie. (A kewpie doll to anyone who comes up with the answer.) But it is also an apt lyric given this little tidbit that comes courtesy of TechCrunch:
Steve Rubel somehow came across a new Digg-like Technorati product called “WTF,” which stands for “Where’s the Fire?” It was briefly live at technorati.com/wtf, but is no longer available.
Yes, boys and girls, Technorati is now branding WTF as "Where's The Fire?", which -- if they do launch this thing -- means that they are going to cause utter anarchy on the Net. I mean, c'mon, everyone knows that WTF is the acronym for the "World Taekwondo Foundation".
What's that? You say it really means "What The F_ck"? Geeze, you've got quite the potty mouth there. We'll have to send The Wraith after you or something.
Oh shoot. James, does this mean I'm on the hook for those kewpie dolls?
