Chocolate Rain Yields Delicious Popularity

Whoa. The newest YouTube meme was created by Minneapolis grad student Tay Zonday. Chocolate Rain, an amateur music video featuring Zonday belting out a tune with his rich mahogany baritone voice is spreading like wildfire - the clip has more than 2 million individual views in 3 months and was featured on 4chan causing YouTube to proclaim July 26th Tay Zon Day.

With fans spoofing the Zonday clips, nearly 10,000 channel subscribers and more than 15 individual songs already uploaded, the quirky singer/songwriter has even done an interview for XM Satellite Radio's Opie and Anthony show.
