Business Solutions

fauxbusiness.jpg
Ok. Let's be honest. Business solutions, while totally necessary, are really quite boring. There is an entire universe of dedicated individuals who build databases, administrate systems, systemically administer and increase efficiency worldwide. I am not one of them. I like to think of myself as a tiffany lamp – bright and feminine, with a hint of whimsy, but not efficient. Not one bit.

THE MEN IN BLACK: BUSINESS OF BUSINESS
John P. Arenas, the New York-based CEO of Worktopia has just raised $5 million dollars in Series A funding for his online meeting space registration system. Billed as “the first direct online booking engine for meeting space in hotels, airport lounges and other venues”, Arenas announced funding from a syndicate led by DFJ Gotham Ventures on October 29th.

Said Arenas, “We are pleased to have attracted such an experienced group of New York-based venture capitalists.” Sure you right John. The good people at Open Table are kicking themselves for not rebranding the technology they already owned.
