Boom! The Second Coming

People...I'm gonna say it. The Valley is on freaking fire and has been for a while. We're looking at $29 billion dollars in VC funding expected to be thrown out in the ring for 2007 alone. Ummm guys, it's just typing. Let's hope somebody learned something.

I'LL PAY YOU TOMORROW FOR A CHEESEBURGER TODAY

LendingClub, a peer lending service exclusive to Facebook has just raised $10.26 million from venture capital firms Canaan Partners and Norwest Venture Partners. The service launched in May 2007 along with the launch of Facebook's open API and has already done close to $250,000 in transactions between Facebook users. Boasting rates well below bank interest rates and with no service-related fees, users can look forward LendingClub's expansion beyond the walls of Facebook.

MILFS

Yeah baby. I'd like to fund that mother. Mommy blogger social networking site Cafe Mom just raised an additional $5 million in their latest round of funding. This in addition to the $50 million raised since the late nineties. With sites like fussy and dooce leading the pack, the mommy bloggers even have their own premium ad revenue network.
